This picture was taken in 2006, during our China round-trip. We went to see the karst mountains from a balloon. One of the cooler things I’ve done during my holidays. 🙂

Let’s see how many photographic rules I broke when taking this picture of my daughter Fran running towards me. 🙂
- Main subject is in the center of the photo.
- Light is coming from behind. (you can see a ray of light shining down, and her hair is brightly lit)
- Blown highlights.
- Eyes are not 100% sharp. (probably because of the movement and big aperture).
But nonetheless I like the picture a lot. 🙂

I know some people don’t like “chopped off heads”, but I think in this photo the cropping shifts the attention to her eyes. Feel free to think otherwise of course. 🙂
