Early Fall Mushrooms

This weekend me had a great time (due to the fantastic weather) in the Wild- & Wandelpark Molenheide in Houthalen-Helchteren (Belgium).

I'm Happy

Look at me and smile! (test picture for my new Sigma 18-50 f2.8 Macro HSM lens)

Overpelt at Night

Ever since I got the Sigma 50-150mm f2.8, I wanted to try to take a picture of the moon. I thought taking pictures of the moon was easy, but it’s not. 🙂 The automatic modes won’t help you a lot since they tend to over expose the bright light of the moon, even when using spot metering. So I had to tweak the exposure (-3 EV) to get the shot above. It’s no full moon and it’s not yet perfect, but it’s a first try!

Dramatic Sunset in Aarhus Panorama

This week I’m in Aarhus, the second largest city of Denmark. I have a room on the fifth floor of the Scandic Hotel from which I witnessed a nice sunset this evening. The picture above is stitched together from two separate pictures with Autostitch (a free tool, although is extremely good in it’s job). I did very little post processing, the colors in real life were almost exactly as in the picture!

She is a fantastic model: she doesn’t complain, she doesn’t get bored, she doesn’t mind it at all when her daddy takes thousands of pictures of her. And, she is so beautiful.

The flowers and the bees

I never knew bees could walk … 🙂 Photo taken with my new Sigma 50-150 f2.8 (not a macro lens at all, but the result is ok I think).
